Sortita San Paolino – Lucca

The passageway that today connects Piazzale Verdi with Viale Carducci underwent a complex philological restoration. The internal path was firstly restored with the creation of compacted-earth walkways, the stone vaults — heavily damaged by rainwater infiltration — were repaired, and new lighting was installed. A new connection on the ramparts was also built, with a natural asphalt surface and a new iron footbridge. All of this work was carried out under the supervision of the Heritage Authority of Lucca.
